6-12 month contract to hire

60-65/hr W2 DOE
CDI has immediate need for Sr Java Developers to represent a highly visible project within a large IT organization. You would be expected to understand complex problem resolution and may act as a lead at times. Thorough understanding of all the following technologies is a must:

Senior level experience at basic and core Java skill sets involving frameworks with the ability to conceptualize and implement the ability to wire cross tier components.
Ability to develop from a design pattern perspective is a highly desired, such as MVC, Front Controller, DAO, exception handling and alternate flows.
Candidate should have good understanding of underlying Architecture of the Framework
Must know the core components of a framework and the lifecycle of core components
The use of an IDE tool such as intellij or eclipse is expected to have been a standard practice in their experience.
Experience and understanding with Application Servers is required, Weblogic preferred does not exclude WebSphere of Jboss.
Moderate UNIX scripting experience & proficiency.
UI Frameworks(Struts, JSF):
Must have good understanding of underlying J2EE web components such Servlets and JSP
Experienced with and knowledgeable with Front End Design patterns
Must know how to wire UI components
Senior experience required to have worked on struts or similar MVC framework to make changes to configuration files and Java classes that use the framework. Must understand the significance of configuration of struts framework and the details.
Experience with tiles is a nice to have but must know how this framework works and helps to simplify things to include common code in jsps which means, Tiles conceptual knowledge at least is required.

Middleware/Business Tier(EJB, Spring):
Experience and able to demonstrate understanding with the various aspects like transaction management, security and etc
Knowledge and experience with configuring the framework with the Application server.
Spring experience required, understanding of Inversion Of Control, how this is implemented in Spring, how the configuration file looks like and where to change the configuration in case of any new service interface implementation.
Experience with web services is required with fundamental understanding SOA concepts.

Persistence(Hibernate, JDBC, JDO):
Hibernate experience is required
Experience with hibernate Object relational mapping files and should be able to implement any entity / database relationships in hibernate mapping files. Must know how the Hibernate session works and transaction is handled.
Oracle experience - Must have some SQL ability. Should be able to understand queries that are fired from application. Need not be an expert.
